Call center in Cebu City needs Negros applicants

A CALL center focusing on collecting market research data for international companies is encouraging Bacoleños to work with them.

Chris S. Mangelson, Western Wats president, said that while there is no immediate plan to open a call center in Bacolod City, Bacoleños can apply with the Cebu City office.

Western Wats (Wide Area Telephone System) Philippines is an outbound call center that handles customer complaints, surveys the market for different industries and businesses, gathers and interprets data for automobile and pharmaceutical companies, among others.

He said Western Wats put up an office in Cebu in 2003 because of the city's developed technical, communication and telecommunication infrastructure.

Applicants will be trained for six months, receive a training allowance of P12,000 a month, and if they pass the probation, get a higher rate.

Western Wats is looking for 500 more agents--one group to work from 4 a.m. to noon and the other from 4 p.m. to midnight. (RRM)
