Inspector Rudy Bico, chief of the Cauayan Police Office, identified the victim as Michael Galvez, 27, a native of Guimaras Island.

Bico identified the suspect as Patricio Sulan, 41, a resident of Sitio Sabang.
In a telephone interview last night, Bico said that based on their investigation, Galvez has been staying in the house of his girlfriend for quite a long time already.

He said the victim was about to bring Cabal to their place in Guimaras supposedly this week to introduce her to his parents and to set the date of their wedding.

But days before the killing, Bico said Galvez allegedly had a misunderstanding with Sulan who happened to be his girlfriend's neighbor.

On June 24, at around 4 p.m. while their neighbors were mostly on the beach, Sulan allegedly attacked Galvez using a bolo and hacked the victim several times.

Not contented, Bico said, the suspect chopped the victim's body.

The Police though are still probing Sulan, who is detained at the Cauayan Police Office, on his real reason for killing Galvez.

Galvez's remains are set to be brought to his hometown in Guimaras Tuesday, Bico also said.

In Toboso

Tabu-Tabu, a 10-year-old boy and a resident of Barangay Tabun-ak, was found dead beside the river in the place with no more eyes and with amputated legs.

Leyte, however, said Prado is still suffering from lucid interval that they can't ascertain yet all what he's saying during their interrogation.
