By Roberto L. Bacasong

AROUND 190 Bacoleños were hired recently as customer service representatives (CSRs) by a call center company.

Christine Matriano, senior communications manager of TeleTech Bacolod Customer Management Center, told Sun.Star Friday that these Bacoleños will do an inbound technical support for the company.

"We will be sending our experts from Manila to do the training but definitely the local trainees will handle the personnel here," said Matriano.

Matriano gave a tip to future applicants: they must be very good in both oral and written communications and can work flexible especially on a night shift basis as their company is open 24/7.

TeleTech has five business process outsourcing (BPO) in the country, including those in Fort Bonifacio, Pasay City, Novaliches in Quezon City, and Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental.

Bacolod will be the sixth site of the business processing outsourcing (BPO) solutions.

With regards to the opening, Matriano disclosed that they do not have as yet the time table on the call center operations will start here.

"We are still accepting qualified applicants for Bacolod. We encourage Bacolodnons to send their resume to our Bacolod Office at the Robinsons Metro in Barangay Singcang," said Matriano.

TeleTech officially announced last month that they are accepting applications. It will occupy 6,000 square meters out of the 7,000 sq.m. floor area at the second floor of Robinsons Metro.

TeleTech's core business relates to direct marketing issues such as telemarketing, the Internet, SMS marketing, IVRs, inbound and outbound calls on mailings, fulfillment and help desks.

TeleTech assists various financial institutions to maximize their sales through direct mailing lists.
