19 cops set to retire this year

NINETEEN policemen in Bacolod City will be retiring from the service within the year.

Senior Inspector Romeo Gomez, chief of the administration branch of the Bacolod City Police Office, disclosed that some of these policemen have filed optional retirement.

These include Senior Police Officer 2 Nelson Golez, Senior Police Officer 1 Artemio Jalandoni, Senior Police Officer 1 Rosalio Arrolado and Senior Police Officer 1 Alfredo Salgado.

Other retirees are Senior Inspector Rolando Valebia, Senior Inspector Francisco Castidad, Inspector Erecsis Eras, Senior Police Officers 4 Nenita Amar, Apolonio Martinez, Jose Maria Salvacion and Ricardo Custodio, Senior Police Officers 3 Jose Ulmido, Juan Lebrillo and Romeo Ortega, Senior Police Officers 1 Armando Carmona, Felimon Roderos, Abderamin Gonzales, Mercidita Aficionado, and Senior Police Officer 2 Uldarico dela Cruz.

Gomez said, Valebia, the former commander of the Police Station 5, will retire in October while Castidad, Custodio and Aficionado are set to retire within this month.

Ulmido, on the other hand, is scheduled to leave the police post by September while Amar, Gonzales and Salvacion, in December.

Those who have retired last January were Eras, Carmona and dela Cruz while Roderos retired last February.

City Police Chief Pedro Merced said that the Philippine National Police will give all benefits due to retiring police officers including their bonuses and productivity pay. They are entitled to all privileges provided under the PNP rules and regulations.
