Teacher complained of ill-treatment By Roberto L. Bacasong
ANOTHER female public elementary school teacher was complained by her 9-year-old pupil for an alleged ill-treatment.
The complainant, accompanied by his father from Barangay Alijis, Thursday went to Police Station 7 in Bacolod and filed a formal complaint against Delia Mangubat, 52, and a Grade II teacher at Don Jayme Elementary School in Barangay Mansilingan.
The boy narrated to the police that two of his classmates were on a fracas, which irked Mangubat.
But instead of pacifying the two, Mangubat reportedly took the cap of one of her pupils and poked it to the boy causing a cut on the right portion of his head, the complainant added.
Mangubat denied the accusation saying that the head injury of the complainant was caused after he engaged to a brawl with his classmate.
PO2 Randy Pisueña, case investigator, however, referred the case to the Women and Children's Concerned Desk of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) for proper investigation.
"It will be the WCCD that will investigate the complaint properly," said Pisueña.
Last week, a female school teacher in EB Magalona was also complained by her 10-year old boy student for mashing his mouth which also reportedly inflicted injuries on his right jaw extending to his lips.
The case against Rosario Dinaga, a Grade IV teacher at the EB Magalona Elementary School has been settled amicably by principal, Angeles Poniado-Verdeprado.
