Reshuffling of police execs in W.Visayas in the offing
By Nicolas C. Delfin

THE expected reshuffling of the regional staff in the Police Regional Office is a non-issue to Negros Occidental Provincial Police Director Charles Calima Jr.

"I will continue to serve even if I will be assigned anywhere in the country, may it be in Batanes or Tawi-tawi," he said.

Calima, who have been serving the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (Noppo) as Provincial Director for almost a year and a half already, said if he is given a new assignment he would look at it as a challenge.

This as newly installed Regional Director Geary Barias said during a command conference that there will be a reshuffling of the regional staff here in Western Visayas.

Earlier, Barias, in his inaugural speech last Wednesday in Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City vowed to continue to enhance and improve all the projects of his predecessor retired Chief Superintendent Doroteo Reyes.

He also stressed that policemen in the region should be respectable, reliable, honest and responsible and that the `bad ones' have no place in the regional police.

Calima told Sun.Star that as members of the Police force they are bound to serve and give the best that they can wherever they may be, every day.

Calima of PMA Class '81 have been receiving awards for Field Commander Officer of the Year as well as Staff Officer of the Year and Senior Officer of the Year from the Philippine National Police.

"I'll just continue to do my job until the people will see that I have did it well," he said.
