Trike driver slapped with murder rap
By Roberto L. Bacasong

COMPLAINTS for murder and frustrated murder were filed Thursday at the City Prosecutor's Office against the suspect who shot a "pimp" dead last Wednesday.

As this developed, Police Station 8 commander Danilo Francisco said they are doubling their time in tracing suspect Rene Cayanan, 40, a resident of Purok Neptune, Singcang-Airport.

Cayanan, who remains at-large, was reportedly the one who shot his neighbor Rodolfo Glaraga, 60, alias "Rudy Bugaw" and Norberto Teodosio, 51, from Barangay Alicante, EB Magalona town.

The police are also investigating the altercation between Glaraga and Cayanan last year. Probers are looking into this angle as a motive for the killing.

Meanwhile, Bacolod City Police Office Director Pedro Merced assured the victims' family of the suspect's apprehension at the soonest possible time.

Merced said he requested Police Senior Inspector Francisco to submit his investigation report about the shooting incident.

Flores, on the other hand, said he went to Glaraga's house to interrogate the background of the victim. He also subjected Cayanan's homemade caliber .38 revolver for a ballistic examination to the BCPO Crime Laboratory.

The result will determine if it was the firearm of Cayanan that killed Glaraga and injured Teodosio.
