Wednesday, September 27, 2006 Cop to be probed for moonlighting
A MEMBER of the Bacolod City Police Office is being investigated for "moonlighting" or doing other jobs other than his duties as a policeman.
Although his name is yet to be revealed by investigators, Police Superintendent Leo Irwin Agpangan said the policeman is using his working hours as a police officer while doing another job.
"Ok lang man tani kung legal ang sideline niya pero kay indi gid mayo ti amo na subong gina imbestigahan pa gid siya namon," he said. (It would be fine if he is doing a legal sideline job but he is not, that's why we have him under investigation)
Agpangan, however, refused to divulge the "illegal job," which he claimed the police officer is into, but he said the Honesty Team might submit the reports by next week.
Agpangan is the head of the Honesty Team commissioned to investigate misbehaving police officers.
He added that City Police Director Pedro Merced instructed them to get a detailed information to support the case. (NCD)
