SIX more personnel of the Regional Mobile Group (RMG) are facing charges in relation to the alleged maltreatment of a balut vendor by their colleagues.
Police Regional Director Geary Barias Thursday ordered Senior Superintendent Rene Aspera, chief of the 6th Regional Mobile Group (RMG), to get the names of the six who were with PO1s Richard Suarez and Paul Eusuya when they allegedly manhandled Ryan Amion of Escalante City.
Barias said though that the six other junior policemen did not participate in beating the victim they are also liable because they did nothing to stop Eusuya and Suarez.
Amion has identified the six as among those who ate his balut without paying for it.
"They should be investigated and charges should also be filed against them. Though they did not participate, still, they are liable if proven guilty. We are not tolerating that kind of attitude," Barias said.
Eusuya and Suarez are now restricted and administrative and criminal charges have already been filed against them.
Amion said he would pursue the case because he was "insulted and harmed" by Eusuya and Suarez.
Amion alleged that last October 7 and while he was in Sagay City, Suarez and Eusuya called him, ate his balut and later refused to pay him.
Worse, because the duo also ordered him to dance and later splashed him with pig food.
