UNO-R mentored by Carlo Torbela, earned the right to face WNC in the finals following its 4-2 upset victory over USLS last week.
La Salle's fate was sealed last Saturday when WNC drew with UNO-R, 2-2, needing the following day's WNC win over La Salle to once again figure in the finals of this annual tournament after having been relegated to the sidelines by the long-running WNC-USLS rivalry.
In Sunday's high school match, USLS nipped WNC, 1-0, courtesy of the 24th minute goal by Paolo Mendoza. WNC and USLS will play for this year's title in a winner-take-all clash on October 21, Saturday, 1 p.m. also at Paglaum.
