THE 3rd Lee Gralto Wushu Sanshou Championships will be presented by the Lee Gralto Self Defense Club (LGSC) of Founder Lee Gralto and Chief instructor Fred Flores.
The event is in cooperation with Wushu Federation of the Philippines (WFP) Oriental Negros Coordinator and Tapondo International Federation (TIF), Inc. Negros Island Chief Instructor Roy R. Flores and the San Carlos City Office of the Mayor on October 29 at the San Carlos City Auditorium, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
The organizers are expecting to hold 15 Wushu Sanshou bouts, 2 matches for Western Boxing, and 1 fight each for WEKAF style Arnis, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), and Grappling. There would also be an assortment of demonstrations.
Among the expected teams to compete are Black Falcon Martial Arts Association-Main (BFMAA-Main) of Chief Instructor and Wushu Federation of the Philippines (WFP) Negros Occidental coordinator Joery C. Amante, Lee Gralto Self Defense Club (LGSC), San Carlos Jungle Fighters Martial Arts Club (SACA JUFIMAC) and Centralian Fighters Martial Arts Club (CEFIMAC) of Founder/Chief Instructor Diomedes N. Mamugay.
Thunder Kicks of Jessie Flores (Escalante City), Conceptual Martial Arts Society (CMAS) of Founders James U. Sy Jr. and Narciso "Hansy" L. Alojado, KaliSilat Arnis Association (KAA) of Grandmaster Danilo "Danny" Cardinal, Original Filipino Tapado Long Stick Fighting Association (OFTLSFA), Inc. of Grandmaster Benefredo "Bebing" M. Lobrido, and Tapondo International Federation (TIFI), Inc. of Negros Island Chief Instructor Roy R. Flores are also expected to see action.
Line up for Wushu Sanshou fighters from SACA JUFIMAC include Romnick Pacatang, National Wushu Sanshou bronze medalist Johnmar P. Palabrica, Teborcio Pardillo, Tercio Pardillo, and Reynaldo Simeon.
The first 2 editions of the Lee Gralto Wushu Sanshou Championships were held in 2005 and 2006 in Bacolod City and San Carlos City respectively.
