A Police report said that the three suspects were seen by barangay tanods stealing fuel from the store owned by Wilfredo Valencia, also of Barangay Gargato.

The tanods then alerted the Hinigaran Police, which immediately sent a team. The responding policemen caught the three in the act of transferring the diesel containers to their motorcycle.

The three tried to escape but were later cornered and brought to the Hinigaran Police Station.

Recovered from their possession were three large plastic containers containing diesel fuel worth P2,100 and their getaway vehicle.

Olmenasan and Sumagaysay are now detained at the Hinigaran Police Station while the 15-year-old boy is now in the custody of the Women and Children’s Complaints Desk.
