In an interview over Bombo Radyo-Bacolod Tuesday night, a certain PO3 Bolande said that Dacian just arrived in the compound of their house at about 5:15 p.m. when three bonnet-wearing men on board a motorcycle appeared and shot him to death.
As of this posting, probers from Guihulngan Police are still facing a blank wall on the case.
Dacian, according to record, testified that not one of the accused policemen was with victims Eleuterio “Dodong” Salabas, Ricardo Suganob and Maximo Lomoljo when they arrived in Guihulngan town near the Municipal Hall on August 31, 2003.
His affidavit is made part of the vital documents in the case.
Dacian also refused to withdraw his affidavit despite some appeal from other sectors.
Instead, when the case was revived and the warrants of arrest were issued against the suspects, Dacian still showed determination to pursue witnessing on the case in favor of the accused policemen.
His untimely yet mysterious death puzzled policemen on the motive and who were behind it.
But according to Bolande, probers are determining whether or not Dacian’s death was related on the Salabas-Suganob-Lomoljo case.
On the other hand, Western Visayas Police Director Geary Barias, Tuesday said that they still have no idea as to the whereabouts of the wanted policemen.
These include Police Chief Inspector Jimmy Fortaleza, Senior Inspector Jonathan Lorilla, SPO2 Freddie Natividad and PO1 Bernardo Cimatu, all in Bacolod and Chief Inspector Clarence Dongail and PO2 Allen Winston Hulleza at Police Regional Office 6 in Iloilo City.
He promised to continue their search until they are arrested and put to jail. (EASD)
