Cadiz City Election Officer Jessie Suarez will take over her post.
Real, in an interview, said she has no regrets in serving Negros Occidental.
"Masaya pero mahirap rin (Happy yet difficult, too)," she exclaimed when asked about her experience at the Comelec Provincial Office.
Real, also a former Comelec supervisor of Bacolod City, once became controversial when she was accused by the camp of defeated mayor Luzviminda "Joy" Valdez as one of the major instruments in the victory of incumbent mayor Evelio Leonardia.
She denied the accusation.
Later though, it was discovered that her husband was employed by Leonardia as a casual employee and was assigned at the Department of Public Services (DPS).
The discovery prompted Real's critics to dare her to let her husband quit from his job for delicadeza.
However, Real was ordered transferred from the city to the province, replacing lawyer Marsha Cordero who retired in 2005.
No politics
Real denied rumors that her recent relief was caused by her tussle with Hinoba-an Mayor Mary Jean Cubid.
"Definitely, my relief was a promotion and has nothing to do with the recent case against Mayor Cubid," she explained.
Cubid was accused of grave misconduct and abuse of authority after she reportedly "harassed" a Comelec official in their town, Leonor Layda, by allegedly forcing her to vacate her office and have her transferred to another vacant space beside the municipal gym.
"The case against Cubid will go on and it has nothing do with my new assignment or promotion," Real added.
Meanwhile, Real said based on their assessment, there are only three areas in Negros Occidental that remains to be problematic.
She identified these as the towns of Hinoba-an and Cauayan and city of Talisay.
These areas are yet to complete its voters' list for next year's election.
But in general, Real said, "Negros Occidental is a peaceful province in terms of election matters."
