City intensifies campaign v. defective weighing scales
THE Market Coordinating and Monitoring Task Force sealed 104 units of weighing scales during an operation conducted at the Sum-ag satellite public market.
A total of P3,180 was collected from the activity.
The activity, which will also be conducted in other public markets, is to safeguard the welfare of the buying public and is regularly done pursuant to City Ordinance 54 or the Revenue Code of Bacolod City and Republic Act 7394 or the Consumers Act of the Philippines.
The inspection at the Sum-ag market was headed by Executive Assistant Ernie Pineda in coordination with the Revenue Inspection and Miscellaneous Services Office of the City Treasurer's Office headed by Donald Camon.
