Fortaleza still in Bacolod?
POLICE Chief Inspector Jimmy Fortaleza, one of the suspects in the controversial Salabas-Suganob-Lomoljo kidnap-slay case, was reportedly spotted in a private subdivision in Bacolod recently.
But Bacolod City Police Director Ronilo Quebrar was quick in disproving the report.
"I sent my men to the said subdivision, but Fortaleza was not there," Quebrar said.
Quebrar believed that all policeman-suspects in the three-year-old kidnap-slay case are no longer in Bacolod.
He clarified that aside from the Bacolod City Police, all policemen all over the region are on the hunt against the suspects.
Aside from Fortaleza, other policeman-suspects were Senior Inspector Jonathan Lorilla, SPO2 Freddie Natividad and POI Bernardo Cimatu, POI Richard Delasa, PO2 Dennis Belandres, PO2 Ruel Villacanas, SPOI Nelson Grijaldo, SPO1 George Bejemino, and PO2 Malate, all of Bacolod, and Chief Inspector Clarence Dongail and PO2 Allen Winston Hulleza with the Police Regional Office 6 in Iloilo City.
The civilians who were implicated in the case include Manolo Escalante, Carlo de los Santos, Elma Mamerto , Elson and Elma Canete,Lorraine Albay, Ramonito Estanislao, Jude Montilla, Ronnie Herrera, and Julie Flores.
All of them, however, are nowhere to be found since the arrest warrant were issued against them by Guihulngan Regional Trial Court Judge Mario Trinidad on October 18, 2006.
Former Pahanocoy village chief Eleuterio Salabas, his nephew Romulo Lomoljo and Maritime Instructor Ricardo Suganob were reportedly abducted and slain on August 31, 2003.
Meanwhile, Western Visayas Police Director Wilfredo Dulay Sr. has already ordered the immediate arrest of the suspects especially the policemen involved in the Salabas-Lomoljo-Suganob kidnap-slay case.
