A 42-YEAR-OLD peanut vendor was stabbed dead while his husband was injured in a heist in Bagong Dalan-Purok Kingisher, Barangay 16, Bacolod City Tuesday dawn.

Her husband, Auro Onsiano, 46, who also suffered from stab wounds on his body managed to escape the attack and was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Hospital Regional Hospital (CLMMHRH) where he is still confined.

Their assailants were identified as Ronilo Flores, alias Bongbong, 20, and a 16-year-old boy (name withheld by Sun.Star Bacolod).

Both have remained at large as of presstime Tuesday night.

It appeared that the couple had just collected payments from the peanuts they sold to a customer in Purok Kingfisher when Flores and the 16-year-old blocked their way and started stabbing them before taking the collection money amounting to P30,000.

Auro reportedly managed to escape after he was stabbed by Flores but her wife who was caught by the two suspects was helplessly stabbed and was left to die along a footwalk in Purok Kingfisher, police report said.
