Comelec bias against opposition candidates: Villar
By Nicolas C. Delfin

SENATE President Manny Villar said Tuesday the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is biased with regards to the enforcement of election guidelines on illegal posting of campaign materials.

We, in the opposition, are always caught while those who are in the administration although they are caught their posters are still there. I've removed all my posters while those in the administration have not removed theirs. That is no longer right hope everything will be just fair)

Just recently the Comelec in Zamboanga City has filed a complaint against Villar and his supporters after his posters were found in areas not designated by the Comelec.

His fellow Genuine Opposition (GO) candidate Panfilo "Ping" Lacson also suffered from the same violation and 10 of his supporters were detained. Later, however, the case was dismissed.

Team Unity senatorial bets former Chief of Staff Mike Defensor, Sen. Edgardo Angara and Prospero Pichay also faced the same charges.
