Saturday, March 24, 2007 Pampangeño nabbed in drug raid; 21T worth of shabu seized
A NATIVE of Pampanga province was arrested in a drug raid conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in corner Saturn-Galaxy street, Henrietta Village, Barangay Singcang, Bacolod City Friday afternoon.
Nabbed was Hans Canlas of Pampanga and who is temporarily residing in Henrietta Village.
The raid was conducted based on a search warrant issued by Judge Danilo Amisola of the Regional Trial Court Branch 4 of Bacolod City.
Seized were three large sachets of shabu at P6,000 each and another small sachet of shabu worth P3,400, said PDEA Officer-in-Charge Police Inspector Joemarie Occeña.
Occeña said prior to the raid, a surveillance operation was conducted that later confirmed intelligence reports that Canlas was selling and using shabu.
Other recoveries were three improvised tooter, aluminum foils and transparent plastics, an improvised burner, two scissors and other assorted drug paraphernalia.
Canlas is detained at Police Station 8 prior to the filing of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 against him. (NCD)
