Fire destroys 5 houses

A 30-minute fire razed five residences at Purok Cabugwason, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City at about 1:20 p.m. Monday.

The fire reportedly started at the house of a certain Delina Lopez but the cause is yet to be established as investigation is still going on as of press time.

Fire Officer Francisco Arevalo II said in a matter of minutes, the blaze gutted down three residences owned by Alfonso Jimenea, Vernie Pardilla and Henry Malunes and damaged the house of Emma Relinte.

Total damage was pegged at P300,000. No one was reported hurt or injured during the incident.

Arevalo said the fire was contained at about 1:52 pm.
