Thursday, May 24, 2007 Delilan: Who is Mr. Eric Allison? By Erwin Ambo S. Delilan The Buzz
AFTER two days that his story on allegation that he “raped” his girl-chatmate hogged our paper’s headline, Sun.Star-Bacolod readers are now curious about Mr. Eric Allison, an American call center executive based in Bacolod City.
That’s the very question that two of our callers asked. Well, I can’t give an answer whether he looks like Gabby Concepcion or John Ferriols or Ylmas Bektas because I myself haven’t seen Mr. Alison either in person or just in photo.
Our reporter Nico Delfin, the one who wrote the stories about him, had neither seen him nor talked to him. Meaning, until now, we’re still hoping to see him soon.
But as to his alleged “girl-friend”, a 17-year-old lass from La Union, who earlier filed a rape complaint against him at the NBI, I can say that she’s young, vibrant and beautiful.
Me and my staff have seen her already in a cellular phone and we can attest that she’s really beautiful. No wonder if Mr. Allison might have fallen in love with her before. Imagine that she’s only 17.
However, I am confused about this Mr. Eric Allison. Because at the height of the issue against him, only some of his staff in the alleged call center business in Mandalagan and his alleged scholars went to Sun.Star-Bacolod office and said a lot of good things about him.
They claimed that Mr. Eric Allison was only a victim of an”extortion” attempt by the 17-year-old girl. They also described this American national as a philanthropist by heart.
But where is he? And why is he not coming out to the public to clear his name?
Remember that the girl recanted her complaint against Mr. Allison in exchange of a huge amount as “settlement”.
So if there’s settlement, meaning there’s something that happened.
If its true then that Mr. Allison is innocent of the charges, why is he not facing or even talking to the media?
Is it true that he’s a “Mysterious Guy” here in Bacolod?
Hope not and hope he will come out to the open soon so the public may know him and judge him whether he’s guilty or not of the rape complaint.
