PHILIPPINE Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Director Rolen Balquin explained Tuesday that his recall to Manila office is for career promotion in the police organization and not due to reports of questionable wealth.

Balquin is among the 500 policemen at the anti-illegal drug agency ordered recalled by PNP Chief Director General Oscar Calderon.
