HOSPITAL staff and numerous bystanders were shocked after a lady doctor was stabbed by an unidentified man in front of the Gomersendo Garcia Memorial District Hospital (GGMDH) in Barangay 3, Kabankalan City about 5 p.m. Thursday.
The victim, identified as Georgina Ofanda, sustained five stab wounds at the.
Fortunately, Garcia survived after she was rushed inside the GGMDH where she was immediately treated.
Later she was transferred to the Bacolod Adventist’s Hospital where she is still being confined.
The perpetrator, on the other hand, remains unknown until presstime Friday night.
Kabankalan City Police Director Calixto Mabugat theorized that the motive behind the incident could have been a personal grudge or work-related conflict.
Ofanda was reportedly crossing the road in front of the hospital when the perpetrator stabbed her without any provocation.
