Monday, August 13, 2007 Health reason forced James to retire from SRA, says Newks By Erwin Ambo S. Delilan
HEALTH reason was the major factor why James Ledesma voluntarily offered his resignation from the Arroyo administration as Sugar Regulatory Administrator (SRA).
So revealed Representative Monico Puentevella who said he had already talked with Ledesma prior to the appointment of former Negros Occidental governor Lito Coscolluela last week.
“James wants to have quality time for his family and most all to prioritize his health,” Puentevella said, adding, “James reason was authentic or genuine in nature.”
Puentevella, therefore, congratulated Ledesma for a job well done and likewise hoped for the best in Coscolluela’s time.
As to Coscolluela’s successor, Narciso “Jun” Santiago, Jr. as presidential adviser for Western Visayas, Puentevella said, “Very competent!” Santiago is the husband of Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, an Ilongga senator.
