By Jerome S. Galunan Jr.

CITY Councilr Secretary Nilo T. Alejandrino recently wrote to Revenue District Officer Mansueta Rios requesting for a review of the Statement of Assets and Liabilities (SAL) filed by Barangay Mandalagan head and Councilor Arturo Parreño.

Parreño is the current president of the Liga ng mga Barangay-Bacolod chapter and as such he is an ex-officio member of the council.

In his letter to Rios, a copy of whichi was furnished Sun.Star Bacolod, Alejandrino claimed that Parreño did not declare his real assets and liabilities when he filed his Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Net Worth
(SALN).

According to the Alejandrino, Parreño did not also state that he owns, maintains, breeds and sells fighting cocks.

He denied politicking by resorting to the inquiry.

"I am just doing my duty as concerned citizen to help the government flush out tax evaders," he added.

Meanwhile, in a copy of Parreño's SALN, he only stated his real properties which included his house and lot in Bacolod City worth P500,000; an agricultural lot in Bago City worth P523,000; and commercial lot in Barangay Granada worth P264,270.00.

His personal and other properties include motor vehicles and other equipment worth P585,000. His total net worth is P1,873,240.00.
