JEAN T. Rivera has reportedly resigned as president of the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA).
Rivera, who served as the association's head for more than a year, ended her services from NOPSSCEA following also her resignation as Riverside College president, a source told Sun.Star Bacolod on Wednesday night.
But as of press time, it was not known yet what caused Rivera's resignation both in Riverside College and NOPSSCEA.
Sun.Star Bacolod tried but failed to contact Rivera for comment.
Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Noly Que of St. John's Institute and currently NOPSSCEA vice-president will reportedly take over Rivera's position at the NOPSSCEA.
On the other hand, Roger Banzuela (sports), Rudy Reveche (cultural) and Jean Vale (eligibility) will attend the Western Visayas Technical Committee seminar from August 24 to 26 in Boracay Island, Aklan.
The seminar is in part of the region's preparation for the Western Visayas Private Schools Sports and Athletic Association (WVPRISSAA) Meet scheduled to unfold sometime in February next year in Aklan and the National PRISSAA set in April in Zamboanga.
