HIGHLIGHTING the Masskara festival this October, SOTX badminton apparels, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, and Philam Life--in cooperation with Pohang Badminton Center--will spearhead the 2007 Pohang Masskara Badminton Invitational tournament tentatively October 20-21, 2007.
The event aims to showcase top caliber feather artists in the country brawling in three events and six categories. These are the men’s, ladies’ and mixed doubles in Open, class A to E.
According to Micheal Po, PBC manager, the event will further strengthen the identification of talented local shuttlers who will represent the city and the province in national competitions.
It will also help the city market its sports facilities to neighboring towns, cities, and provinces.
Interested participants can visit Pohang and ask for entry forms. The deadline of submission is on Oct. 12. Leveling will start Oct. 7 to 13 from 1-9 p.m. Registration fee is P600 per player with a Dri-Fit shirt included.
