BCC tankers emerge champion in secondary boys swimfest

THE Bacolod Christian Center swim team took the secondary boys over-all title over defending champion University of St. La Salle after gathering a total of 134 points during the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural, and Educational Association swimming competition at the Panaad Stadium and Recreational Park.

Kiefer Alexander Piccio led BCC's campaign after gathering six golds and a bronze making him the most-bemedalled swimmer in his division.

Among the events Piccio topped were the 4x100m medley, 200m backstroke, 200m butterfly, 200m individual medley, 4x100m freestyle relay, 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle.

Gerard Gelanga also took the golds in the 200m breast and 4x100 medley and earned silvers in the 200m butterfly and 4x50m medley while settling for the bronze in 100m fly and 100m breast.

Also making big contributions were Karlo del Carmen, Nico Kuan, Klint June King, Kenn Diaz, and siblings Armand and Arnold Uy.

Far behind is La Consolacion-Main with 69 points followed by St. Benilde with 15.

On the other hand, St. Scholastica's Academy topped the secondary girls contest with a total of 114 points leading by 54 points over USLS-IS in the second place.

Behind by a marginal 2 points was St. Joseph School of La Salle with 58 followed by Destiny Christian Academy in 4th with 38.

In the elementary division, St, John's Institute ruled the boys' category while USLS was in second place.

USLS, meanwhile, bagged the girls' category with SSA in second place. (JSG)
