A 26-year-old man was stabbed dead by his two neighbors in Purok Eucalyptus, Barangay Calumanggan, Bago City at around 7 a.m. Wednesday. The victim was identified as Ericson Diaz.
Diaz was reportedly taking care of his eight-month-old baby boy when he was attacked by brothers Jessie and Jerry Ramos.
The Ramoses stabbed Diaz to death.
Police investigation revealed vengeance was the motive of the killing.
According to the police, the Ramoses sought revenge on Diaz after his father-in-law killed the suspects’ father sometime in September this year. And the victim was also alleged to have boxed one of the Ramoses the other week.
The suspects fled after the incident and are nowhere to be found.
The Bago City Police Office has conducted manhunt operation against them.
Police will file murder against the Ramos brothers.
The Ramos brothers were also tagged as the suspects in the murder of Rommel Malimbat.
Malimbat, a farm laborer, was found dead Tuesday by his neighbors in Barangay Dulao also in Bago City with three gunshot wounds on his back and head. (JSG)
