Women's group saddened over rampant rape cases in NegOcc

GABRIELA-Negros, a national alliance for women, expressed condemnation Friday of the reported rampant rape cases in Negros Occidental.

These reports are of no joke and should be given appropriate action by the government, Gabriela said

It urged both the government and the police to look into these problems and find immediate solution to avert more cases to happen soon.

The group further encouraged the public to be more vigilant against rape cases.

Gabriela further disclosed that there are so many unreported cases of women and child abuses in the province, and most these victims are still working right now.

They are also encouraging the victims to come out so that they could be provided needed assistance and protection.(JSG)
