INSTEAD of northern Negros, tropical storm "Lando" hit southern part of the province, leaving two towns with more than a hundred families affected by flood.
In a report of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the Provincial Disaster Management Team (PDMT), it showed that the towns of Ilog and Isabela were left under flooding as of press time.
PSWDO report as of 3 p.m. Tuesday, disclosed that there were already 299 families affected in three barangays in Ilog town.
These include in Barangay Delicioso - 181 from Sitios Talisay (45), Balisong (32), Libas (85) and Lumbia (25).
In Barangay Vista Alegre - 74 from Sitios Mapait (26) and Tamburoz (48).
While in Barangay Dangcalan, 38 families were affected from Crossing Calubang.
In Isabela town, two barangays were also affected with 41 families having a total of 120 dependents were victimized by flooding.
The victims were from Barangays 5 and Calapmisan.
The Provincial Government has already extended assistance to the affected areas wherein, 10 bags of rice, three boxes of sardines and four boxes of noodles were given to Ilog town while five bags of rice and two boxes of noodles were given to Isabela.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Management Team reminded residents living near the to the seas and mountain sides to be observant and be prepared for any possible post storm-related incident.
