Wednesday, February 06, 2008 Drug suspect to file counter charges vs cop By Jerome S. Galunan Jr.
THE family of suspect Arnie Tibus who was apprehended for alleged marijuana trading in Himamaylan City will file a case against Police Officer 2 Bobby Arasola of Himamaylan City.
Arasola who is assigned at the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (Noppo) was in his hometown in Himamaylan when he scolded an alleged suspect for marijuana possession.
Despite being off-duty, Arasola was accused of alleged scolding and pointing a 45 cal. pistol on the suspect.
Tibus was arrested and is currently jailed at Himaymaylan PNP for possession of eight marijuana sticks.
Arasola refuted the accusation claiming that he can present two witnesses to prove that they saw Tibus break the lamp at his father's billiard house in the said place.
He also said, in an interview over Aksyon Radyo, that he is willing to face the complainants whenever a case is filed against him.
Arasola, however, declined to divulge other information to avoid further misinterpretation.
