Monday, March 10, 2008 Gamboa to grace TESDA Reflexology confab
BACOLOD City councilor Wilson "Jun" Gamboa, Jr. will be the honorary guest today at 1 p.m. in the opening of the week-long TESDA Reflexology Seminar at the Dawis Kinderhome, Inc.(DKI) office at #36 Villarosa Compound, Lizares Ave., Bacolod City.
The event is being spearheaded through the joint-efforts of DKI and the Abad Santos Madrigal Foundation (ASMF) that will run from March 10-14.
The said project is an initiative of DKI as a commitment to help improve the lives of every Negrense family and earn an alternative source of livelihood to alleviate themselves out of poverty and social struggles. It is intended also to lower down the cost of the training to Php150 from its actual cost that reached up to Php 6,000 in Manila and Cebu, where it is regularly conducted.
ASMF, on the other hand, is sending reflexology expert Tess L. Soriano to hands on in this activity which is open to interested individuals who desire to learn more of the latest in the field of reflexology and get a TESDA certicificate at the end of the seminar.
DKI, on the other hand, is a non-government organization duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and has been in existence for twenty-eight solid years for continued program serving at least 100 children every year by supporting their educational needs, enhancing their preparation for socio-cultural and spiritual development.
The organization further implements socio-economic programs by organizing parents in the community to be more productive so that they will be capable of providing the needs of their children.
