Sagay SK prexy dies in mishap

NOEL Jean Honutas, 16 years old, resident of Sagay City, and the city's Sangguniang Kabataan President, met his untimely death together with his family Saturday around 5:00 in the afternoon when the car they were riding collided with a panel van at the curved highway near Sta. Monica Subdivision, Barangay Tabige, EB Magalona.

Noel's mother Minie Magdalene, 39 years old and younger sister Anne Margarita, 5 years old, and their driver Allan Carmona Jr, also died in the vehicular accident.

Surviving them is Noel's father who is abroad working as a seaman.

Initial police investigation revealed that the panel van driven by Ronald Pacigado coming from Bacolod was in medium speed when he suddenly lost control of its steering wheel and collided with the Honda civic of the Honutas which was coming from Sagay to Bacolod.

Police could not give details yet as to what caused the broken "manibela".

Pacigado sustained bruises only in various parts of his body and is being treated in a hospital in Bacolod. (RKGO)
