Friday, March 14, 2008 12th anniversary open house at the Negros Museum
THE Negros Museum invites the public to avail of free tours; story telling sessions and children's activities on March 16 from 3:00 p.m. as it celebrates its 12th Anniversary.
The event will be highlighted with the Pagdayaw Culture and Arts Awarding Ceremonies for Governor Maranon to be presented by the Negros Cultural Foundation, Incorporated and the Provincial Governor's Office of Region 6.
This award is a first of its kind where a cultural organization partners with heads of Government to recognize and honor individuals who trail blazed the cause of arts and culture in their respective constituency.
The first fifty children visitors will avail of special giveaways aside from the Sunday treats of storytelling and games. To add meaning to the occasion is an Anniversary Mass at 5:30 p.m. followed by a free show featuring local theatre groups in Bacolod at 6:30 p.m.
