Wednesday, April 30, 2008 20th annual homecoming set at UNO-R
THE Occidental Negros Institute, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) Student Assistants Program (Sap) and the Recoletos Educational Assistance for Deserving Students (Reads) alumni will be celebrating the 20th annual homecoming on May 4 at the UNO-R main lobby.
The day would be highlighted with reminiscing the good old days as well as recapturing the fun and camaraderie once shared. Programs and projects of the Sap/Reads Alumni Association (Sapaa) would also be presented for discussion.
Registration starts at 1:30 p.m. to be followed by a motorcade around the city at 2:30 p.m.
A mass would be celebrated at 6 p.m. at the Oratory while at 7:30 p.m., there would be a dinner and the awarding of outstanding Sap alumni.

Meanwhile, the UNO-R College of Information Technology was awarded as Outstanding Cisco Networking Local Academy by the Cisco Network Academy Core Council of the Philippines in Tagaytay City.
UNO-R Cisco Networking Technology started in 2002 with Rommel Adricula and Reymund Sabay as instructors.
Also, the College of Information Technology is conducting computer literacy training with public high school and elementary teachers starting from April 19 and 26 and May 3, 10, and 17 at the St. Ezekiel Moreno laboratories. This is part of the continuing commitment to be of service to others. The college is headed by Dr. Elmer Haro.
