CEBU City will play host to this year's Dsap VisMin drugstore business conference, which will be held at the Cebu Parklane Hotel from May 22 to 24.
The 4th Dsap VisMin drugstore business conference brings with it opportunities for drug store operators to interact with their fellows, drug store manufacturers and distributors, as well as those who aspire to operate a drug store.
"Once again, this event promises to be an excellent venue for interaction and information. New businesses relationships and opportunities are only few of the gains that the upcoming conference will offer," said conference chairman Robinson Uy.
Some of the topics that would be discussed during the conference include updates on the cheaper medicines bill and its implication to the Generics Law; updates on legal remedies to usual problems encountered with the Department of Health and the Bureau of Food and Drugs. The Senior Citizens Law and Person Disability and its impact to the business with the inclusion of 20-percent discount will also be discussed as well as taxes and the national economic outlook for 2008.
Dsap-Cebu chapter is also arranging a 'suroy Carcar,' a countryside tour, which would give delegates the chance to see and enjoy the rich culture, history and handicrafts of Carcar on May 24.
Dsap-Cebu initiated the VisMin conference in 2005 to seek answers to many questions about the direction of the drugstore industry. The first conference revolved around the theme "Special focus: Exploring Solutions on Key Drugstore Issues." Forums then included the senior citizens law; economic outlook for the Philippines; updates for Bfad, taxes and labor laws; updates on the botica ng bayan; and the drugstore expansion programs and opportunities.
