Friday, May 23, 2008 Arroyo inducts Negros info, liaison officers
PRESIDENT Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo inducted Thursday the 2008-2010 officers of the Negros Association of Government Information Officers & Liaisons (Nagiol) at the Planta Centro Hotel in Bacolod City where she earlier addressed participants to the Local Peace and Security Assembly.
Nagiol is a group of government information officers and designates/liaisons in the 32 towns and cities, the Provincial Government and National Government agencies in Negros Occidental.
Inducted were Negros Occidental provincial information officer Ma. Lina Sanogal, president; Grizelda Arceño of the National Food Authority, vice president; Olive Seruelo of the Provincial Environment Management Office as secretary; Ruby Arribas of PENRO-DENR as asst. secretary; Eddie Yap of Kabankalan City as public information officer; Cleovel Villanueva of the City of Bago as treasurer;
Vermont Juvahib of the City of Escalante as assistant treasurer; Pedrito Cabuguason of the Land Bank of the Philippines as auditor; Janice Mediavilla of Pag-IBIG as business manager; Edgar Jison of the City of Silay and Amador Geroy of the municipality of Pulupandan as sergeant-at-arms.
Members of the board of directors from the seven districts of the province are district I - Norberto Seroy, municipality of Toboso; district II - Celina Ibañez, City of Cadiz; district III - Edna Pamine, City of Victorias; district IV - Jolna Montinola, municipality of San Enrique; district V - Roslyn Toreta, Himamaylan City; district VI - Nathaniel Zaragoza, City of Sipalay and Bacolod district - Reynaldo Ebreo, City of Bacolod. Edna Garde of the Office of the Provincial Agriculture serves as ex-officio director.
Philippine Information Agency Bacolod Information Center manager Milagrosa Erta is Nagiol's adviser.
