Claimants are required to personally present their official receipts to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) personnel.

A special power of attorney and identification cards shall be presented by the immediate family members who are authorized to claim the passports.

This will still be subject to the evaluation and approval of the DFA releasing personnel.

A total of 1,244 passports are scheduled to be released this Saturday.

As per DFA estimate, the mobile processing and releasing of passports have saved the Negrenses of about P2.7-million worth of transportation, food and lodging expenses in going to Iloilo City to file and claim their passports.

The mobile service is a joint undertaking of DFA and the provincial government of Negros Occidental under the Public Affairs Division, Office of the Governor.
