Sta. Fe swim team tops USLS novice swimfest

STA. Fe swim team took the overall champion's trophy last Saturday, May 24, in the University of St. La Salle novice swimming competition at the USLS pool.

Panaad swim team took first runner-up honors followed by the Bago City swim team and third runner-up swim tek La Salle.

The most be-medalled boys were led by Regan Garbanzos (6-Under) of Bago swim team; Justin Trayco (7-8) also of the Bago swim team; Christian Bingtulan (9-10) Silay Sunburst swim team; Timothy De Dios (11-12) Sta. Fe swim team; and Jerico Tanuga (13-above) Silay Sunburst swim team.

The girls who got the most medals were led by Franchesca Yuzon (6-Under) Sta. Fe swim team; Johanne Paredes (7-8) Panaad swim team; Regine Garbanzos (9-10) Bago City swim team; Jesel Abasolo (11-12) Silay Sunburst swim team; and Ma. Enriquita Montilla (13-above) of the Silay Sunburst swim team.

A total of eight teams saw action in the event that included the Sta. Fe swim team, Aquatic Swimming Club of Panaad, USLS swimtek team, Bago City swimming team, Silay Sunburst swim team, Hotel PAGCOR swim team, Raelynn's swimming team of San Carlos City, Aquatic Sports Swim Club of Iloilo and Kabankalan swim team.
