Acuña suffers low hemoglobin not drug overdose: Yulo

PROVINCIAL Board Member Edgardo 'Garry' Acuña Jr. of the 2nd district of Negros Occidental did not suffer drug overdose but low hemoglobin due to diabetes, Vice Governor Emilio Yulo III clarified on Wednesday.

Since Saturday, Acuña, 48, has been confined at Room 208 of the Bacolod Doctor's Hospital.

Rumors, however, spread at the Capitol on Wednesday that he was allegedly overdosed.

But Yulo was quick to deny the rumors during a press conference at the Vice Governor's Office. "It's not true."

"I am not fully aware of the medical records of Board Member Acu=
ña but as far as I know, he had a blood transfusion due to low hemoglobin," the vice governor added.

Sun.Star Bacolod tried but failed to contact a member of the Acuña clan for comment as of press time.(Erwin Ambo Delilan)
