Sum-ag celebrates nutrition month

THE Office of the Barangay Council of Sum-ag will hold the joint nutrition month celebration at the barangay daycare center Friday at 9 a.m.

The barangay, at the same time, will launch the "Here's Hope Foundation," a non-government organization whose main concern is the proper nutrition of children belonging to the poor in the city.

The theme for the celebration is "Wastong Nutrisyon Ni Mommy, Siguradong Healthy si Baby."

The celebration will be marked by a parade, with children wearing headdresses of fruits or vegetables of any kind. There will also be a healthiest baby contest, with the winner receiving a prize from the barangay, among other attractions.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia will be the inspirational speaker. Vice Mayor Thaddy Sayson, pastor Pete Etabag, and Councilor Wilson Gamboa Jr. will also deliver their messages.

Welcome address will be given by punong barangay Ricardo Sayson while barangay nutrition scholar Isabelita Dizon will do the closing remarks.
