PBC, which is organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the biggest annual gathering of key government officials and private leaders from foreign and local business communities, will recognize this October business companies that have shown improving environmental performance resulting to improvement in performance or business gains and sustainability.
PCCI will select winners from small, medium and large enterprises as defined by the Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SMED) Council: P3-million to P15-M for the winning small enterprises, P15-P100M for medium enterprises and above P100 million for large enterprises.
This year's PBC theme, "One Global Filipino-Sustaining Gains, Surging Ahead," will honor the E3 award winners in ceremonies to be presided over by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
PCCI, through the local chambers, is calling for increased awareness and appreciation of the business sector on practical environmental programs that companies can implement and best practices that can be replicated by other companies.
