The course is in cooperation with the University of St. La Salle Varsity Sports Office VSO-Share outreach program.

The event aims to upgrade the competency of basketball referees in Western Visayas, said BAP regional director Roger Banzuela.

"The purpose of this course is to upgrade the competency of our basketball referees in our region with the latest Fiba Rules and its correct interpretation and application and to prepare them for future basketball competitions," Banzuela said.

A registration fee of P1,500 (inclusive of three lunch meals, 3 snacks, referee's license, lecturers' fee and other expenses) will be charged each participant.

Among the invited resource speakers are international referees (IRs) George Magsino and Boy Reglo, among others.

Interested participants may call 432-11-85. (HCV)
