It has scheduled the transfer of the Mt. View-Silay 69KV at the Cadiz substation back to its normal setting on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Alijis, Reclamation, and Gonzaga feeders will be affected on this date from 8 to 8:15 a.m. Another scheduled brownout will also affect areas of Mountain View and Burgos feeders and the whole areas of Silay and Talisay from 8 to 8:15 a.m. and 4:45-5 p.m.
A release from the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) Inc. said with this temporary set-up, load shedding will be implemented in case the load and temperature of the transformer reaches the maximum/allowable limit.
No specific areas to be affected are mentioned as of yet.
Ceneco, on the other hand, will also conduct mid-span erection, primary pole, and extension of 1-span 3ph primary line, installation of 3-15KVA private transformer and its accessories, and stringing or service wires from 4 to 5 p.m.
Affected areas include the Bata Subdivision, GoldCrest Subdivision, and Octagon Village (Talisay), whole of Mt. View Subdivision, including Porferia Subdivision, Sta. Clara Phase I and II, Villa Valderrama Subdivision, Sto. Rosario, Lacson St. (from Lopue's Mandalagan to Pepsi Cola Plant), Mandalagan Highway, Circumferential Road, Federal Johnson Iron Works to Marapara Subdivision, and from Mandalagan Bridge, Park Langis, San Mateo Village, and NN Wharf up to sitio Sibucao.
Another scheduled brownout will start from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. due to the replacement and rehabilitation of rotten primary poles and line clearing activities.
Areas affected are R19 to Murcia Road, Minuyan Mambukal, Don Salvador, to Kanlandog.
On Sunday, August 31, the power coop will also conduct replacement and rehabilitation of rotten poles and line clearing activities from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Simplicio Palanca (SP) Village, Barangay Pahanocoy would be affected by this scheduled brownout.
Ceneco general manager Sulpicio Lagarde Jr. said "member-consumers are advised to put off their electrical switches all throughout the duration of the power interruptions for safety reason, and to give allowance of about 10-15 minutes after power resumption, before putting on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge."
"Member-consumers are also advised to make the necessary preparations to avoid inconvenience during said interruption. These schedules are also subject to change without prior notice," he added in the notice furnished to Sun.Star Bacolod.
