ATTENDED by bigwigs in politics and business, 18th Street Pala-Pala Restaurant, one of Bacolod City's finest seafood-serving hubs reopened Wednesday to once again tempt customers with the best seafood experience.
"Today is a happy day for us as it gives renewed joy. With this, we celebrate life and the gift it brings - great food and great dinner," business corporation president Teodoro 'Nonoy' Lopez told the visitors and guests during the re-opening.
Also in attendance were the corporation's operation manager Sylvia Golez, and Pala-Pala's board of directors Roy Lopez, Gisella Lopez-Crisologo, Ester Lopez, and Atty. Jose Manuel Lopez, a visual artist who came all the way from Dubai, Saudi Arabia.
The re-opening of the famous seafood grill and restaurant was highlighted by a motorcade around the Lacson Street going to and around the Provincial Capitol area before returning back to Pala-Pala's place along 18th Street.
Pala-Pala management was grateful to have the Negros Dragon Motor Cross group led the motorcade.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Gisella Lopez-Crisologo led the ribbon-cutting with guest of honor Olivia Yanson of the Ceres Liner.
Reverend Fr. Eugene Lucerna led the prayer and blessed the whole building.
San Carlos City Mayor Eugenio 'Bong' Lacson led the ceremonial toast to welcome back the business followed by the throwing of coins for good luck.
"Allow us to serve you again with the best and finest and tastiest sea foods only Pala-Pala can offer you in the heart of Bacolod," said board of director Roy Lopez.
Leonardia also extended his gratitude and congratulations to the business. "I am personally happy with Pala-Pala's re-opening especially that it happens now that Bacolod is celebrating its Charter anniversary. This is a great opportunity for the city to have once again one of the finest seafood houses in Bacolod."
Business president Teodoro 'Nonoy' Lopez said: "Join us in our aim and goal to serve you, our costumers, the best sea foods and may you find your every meal a happy moment every time you chose Pala-Pala as the place to dine in."
Pala-Pala was temporarily closed following a fire last July. It will be serving costumers seven days a week.
