Wednesday, October 15, 2008 Giant mask-making contest winners named
THE Italy-inspired giant mask of Team 'Balangaw' headed by Jenny Melliza of Barangay Singcang, Bacolod City was declared the grand winner of the 'Mask of the World' giant mask-making contest held at SM City Bacolod recently.
Melliza and team members Aljon Puerta and JR Jimenez received P15,000 (P7,500 cash and P7,500 worth of SM gift certificates) and a certificate of recognition from the mall.
The Artisans' England-inspired giant mask bagged the second place and received P10,000 (P5,000 cash and P5,000 worth of SM gift certificates) and also with a certificate of recognition, while the China-inspired mask of Team A placed third and got P5,000 (P2,500 cash and P2,500 worth of SM gift certificates) as well as a certificate of recognition.
SM City Bacolod organized the giant mask-making contest in celebration of the city's 29th MassKara Festival with the theme "Bacolod, City of the World."
All entries are now on display at the mall's Northwing Event Centre.
