Wednesday, November 12, 2008 Capitol turns over feeds to hog raisers
A TOTAL of 100 bags of Pigrolac feeds were turned over Tuesday to the Alliance of Hog Raisers Association in Negros Occidental (Ahrano) members from Himamaylan City.
The activity was conducted in a simple ceremony at the Provincial Veterinary Office.
Board Members Enrique Miguel Lacson (5th District) and Adolfo Mangao Sr. (6th District) spearheaded the turnover, together with Provincial Veterinary officer Dr. Renante Decena.
This is in line with the Expanded Feeds for Pigs Project in support of the Hearts Plus program of Governor Isidro Zayco.
At present, a total of 942 bags of grower feeds and 755 bags of finisher feeds had been released to hog raisers from the different towns and cities of the province since last year.
Ahrano president Rodney Ta-ala personally received the feeds together with Ric Lauron, Salvacion Gonzales, Earl John Limsiaco, Raymund Villacarlos and Joel Jetorino, who were the beneficiaries of the project.
