Wednesday, November 12, 2008 Council cites Army Rangers for blood donation
THE Municipal Council of Moises Padilla passed a resolution expressing thanks and gratitude to members of the 2nd Scout Ranger Company of the 1st Scout Ranger Battalion of the Philippine Army.
The council thanked Lieutenant Clement Go's group for actively participating in the recent bloodletting activity in the locality.
In a resolution sponsored by Dolly Yasa, chair of the committee on health, the soldiers were recognized for the substantial blood donation that would help prolong the lives of the indigents who need blood transfusion.
The troopers were led by their executive officer, Lieutenant Arvin Llenaresas, who went to the Municipal Health Infirmary for the bloodletting activity.
The soldiers based in the municipality were further cited for going the extra mile as far as their main duty is concerned, and that is the Internal Security Operations in the area and nearby localities.
Municipal Health Officer Edmundo Janeo also thanked the soldiers for the blood donation, adding that the activity is a program of the Department of Health. He said it was geared towards augmenting and replenishing the stored blood in the municipality intended for the indigents.
