But Sabaka president-elect Romeda Mayo of Barangay Mambulac clarified that Oti never released an order to stop the scheduled induction.

Mayo said that perhaps, some individuals just wanted to play games and even uesd the name of the Silay mayor, who failed to attend the induction due to some important business in Manila.

Lacson inducted the officers of Sabaka who won the November 14 election held at Barangay Balaring.

Among those inducted were Mayo as the association's president; Jose Romel Pollentes as external vice president (Barangay IV); internal vice president Orlando Labios (Barangay Guinhalaran); recording secretary Maria Cristoni Cepeda (Barangay V); communication secretary Debbie Jinon (Barangay E. Lopez); Demetria Apla-on as treasurer (Barangay Lantad); auditors' Gracel Balongo (Barangay Bagtic) and Salvacion Corugda (Barangay Capt. Ramon); and public information officers' Ronilo Blancaflor of Barangay Patag and Mario Dionela of Barangay I.

Lacson also inducted the association's elected board of directors, namely: Elenita Caceres of Barangay I, Rosseni Marifosque of Barangay III, Romie Ledesma of Barangay IV, Felix Dumancas Jr. from Barangay V, Barangay Hawaiian's Elena Tabanao, Angel Sullesta of Patag, Guinhalaran's Proferio Gulmatico, Luzmin Sumiller of Mambulac, Guimbalaon's Rebecca Dela Cruz, Rizal's Judith Leonor, Allan Buyco from Lantad, Remie Roldan from Balaring, Barangay E. Lopez's Nelson Aranchado, barangay captain Ramon's Rosalia Consulta and Jerry Laveturia of Barangay Bagtic.

Lacson said he wants to see the inducted officers function in their respective positions, adding: "I will be there when you need my help."

He said the success of the association depends on the dedication and hard work of the officers and full cooperation of each member.

Lacson urged the officers to immediately process the group's accreditation, saying it will benefit the club especially its financial support. "As long as your association is accredited, I can help you financially for your program developments."

Negros Occidental Board Member Manuel Frederick 'Manman' Ko said the first step the association should make is get an accreditation for the legality and effectiveness of the club.
